The Ranney Fund is the school’s annual charitable giving program that runs concurrent with the school's fiscal year of July 1 to June 30. Ranney is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and all gifts to the Ranney Fund are tax-deductible to the extent permissible under IRS regulations. The school's Federal Tax ID is: 22-1853774.

Recurring Gifts
Set up a recurring gift that will automatically deduct from your credit card. You choose the amount, duration, and frequency whether monthly, quarterly, or yearly. A gift of $20 a month adds up! The Development Office would be happy to help you set up a recurring gift.

Make checks payable to "Ranney School" and mail to the attention of the Ranney School Development Office, 235 Hope Road, Tinton Falls, NJ 07724. Please hand-deliver cash gifts to the Development Office in the Annex.
Gifts of Securities
Donations of stock, bonds, or mutual funds can result in tax savings while benefiting Ranney School. These types of gifts may have added benefits such as capital gains tax savings. To transfer securities to Ranney School electronically, please provide the DTC (Depository Trust Company) instructions below to your broker or financial advisor. In order to promptly and accurately acknowledge your gift, please notify us prior to authorizing your stock transfer and ask your broker to include your name and address in the DTC transfer instructions.

Matching Gifts
Does your employer match donations to schools? Your gift can be doubled or tripled in value through your or your spouse's company. Please contact your Human Resources office for a Matching Gift Form and forward it to Ranney School’s Development Office or contact the Development Office for assistance.
Donor Advised Fund
Do you have a Donor Advsied Fund? If so, you may direct a grant from your donor advised fund to any area supported by the Ranney Fund. We will recognze you in our annual report and Giving Circles as we do direct gifts. You can make a grant request directly to your account at Fidelity, Schwab, or BNY Mellon fund

Planned Giving
Making a bequest can be as simple as listing Ranney School as a beneficiary in your will or retirement plan. Alumni, friends and family members of Ranney students can make gifts through bequests to perpetuate lasting ties to the school and ensure its future sustainability. Gifts of any size are valued and appreciated and all donors are invited to become members of the Margaret Mahon Legacy Society. IRA Qualified Charitable Distribution
If you are 70 1/2 years old or older, you can give up to $105,000 per year from your IRA directly to one or more nonprofits, including Ranney School, without paying income tax on the gift amount. This popular way of giving is known as a qualified charitable distribution, or QCD for short.
Beginning in the year you turn 73, you can use your gift to satisfy all or a portion of your required minimum distribution. Please contact the Development Office for a sample letter to provide to your IRA plan provider to initiate your gift.
