Four Ranney Jazz Musicians Accepted into All-Shore

Four Upper School students have been accepted into the 2025 All-Shore Jazz Band(s): 
 
All-Shore Jazz Band-Directed by Ms. Emma Fretz (Colts Neck High School)
Kieran Collins '25 --Bass
 
All Shore Lab Band-Directed by Mr. Kyle Titmas (Ocean Township High School)
Aiden Wang '25--Trumpet 2
Tylor Yang '26--Alto Saxophone 1
Jessie Yuan '27--Piano
 
These four students successfully prepared a blind audition on Tuesday, January 21st, consisting of a prepared piece and a stylistic sight-reading excerpt. They were selected from a competitive field of motivated high school jazz musicians. Kieran, Aiden, Tylor, and Jessie will rehearse with their bands over the next few weeks and perform on Saturday, February 8th, at Manalapan High School.  
 
"I'm so proud of what these four Ranney students accomplished through the All-Shore Jazz audition process," said All-School Band Director Mr. John Propper. "Their talents, hard work, and attention to detail have gained them acceptance to the 2025 All-Shore Jazz Band(s). They will rehearse and perform with some of the top student jazz musicians and high school band directors in Monmouth and Ocean County. Kieran, Aiden, Tylor, and Jessie are great jazz representatives for Ranney School!"
