The students auditioned on Saturday, January 11 with scales, solos, and sight reading. The All Shore Intermediate Orchestra will be conducted this year by its founder, Mr. Daniel Martinho. The All Shore Orchestra (high school group) will have two guest conductors - Mrs. Chelsey Dokus from Marlboro School District and Dr. Dorota Sobieski from Ranney School. This is a valuable opportunity to participate in All Shore Orchestra. Students representing several school districts as well as private studios, all come together to learn from each other, work with experienced directors, and make music together.
The 8th annual All Shore Orchestra concert will be held on Friday, February 28th, at 7 PM, at Wall Intermediate School.
“I am excited for our students to take part in this experience, as the All Shore Orchestra mission states, ‘The role of an orchestra in the 21st century isn't just playing, it's about developing future audiences and performers.’ Please congratulate our students when you see them. The Ranney Performing Arts Department is proud of their accomplishment.”
