The Ranney School Speech and Debate Team, travelling to the Summit High School Hilltopper Classic on December 14, competed in their first New Jersey Speech and Debate League tournament of the season with some strong results from first time and experienced competitors.
Three of Ranney's Speech competitors, under the experienced eye of Speech Captain and Impromptu Competitor, William Vibert '25, all earned "first place" in at least one of their rooms: New Impromptu competitor, Brendan Kasner '26, new Improvisational Acting competitor, Eden Colleton '27, and two-year veteran William Mallach '26, who competed in Humorous Interpretation this year. Maura Presutti '27 and Gwen Canzonier '26 earned a winning record of 3-1 in their four rounds of Parliamentary Debate, as well.
Congratulations to our competitors and stay tuned for a full winter line-up of tournaments in January and February.
