Juniors and Seniors Receive High Honors

The Upper School celebrated year-end honors and inductions along with a traditional goodbye to the members of the Class of 2015.
Continuing with a week of honors and awards as the 2014-15 school year comes to a close, approximately 40 juniors were inducted into Ranney School’s National Honor Society Russell G. Ranney Chapter on May 22, 2015. New inductees included: Daniel Blumenkrantz, Karl Brand, Nelson Chan, Ashleigh Conroy-Zugel, Cameron Cranley, Kathleen Crilly, Madalyn Denton, Grace Economou, Stephanie Falletta, James Geraghty, Brandon Gioggia, Holden Glazer, Maxwell Godek, Isabelle Heckler, Sophia Jackman, Jonathan Kelly, Sarah Klein, Michelle Krameisen, Leslie Liu, Nikita Mikkilineni, Nicole Nadler, Corey Natofsky, Vasilios Nicholas, Erica Palmieri, Rachel Patel, Danielle Patti, Tessa Payer, Christine Raso, Elizabeth Rennie, Peri Rohl, Ariella Silverstein, Audra Smires, Rachel Staats, Zachary Sullens, Lily Thacher, Mollie Tobin, Nicole Vaiani, Jacob Wahba, Christopher Weiland and Jennifer Wicks.
 
The induction ceremony was held as part of the school’s annual spring Convocation, which serves to honor seniors in specific academic areas. Seniors spent precious time before the ceremony with their Beginner friends in the Ranney Class of 2029 on the Lower School playground and ended their day on campus with the traditional “senior walk” from the Lower School building to the Middle/Upper School Academic Complex, where they received a yearbook and congratulatory hugs from the Upper School and College Guidance faculty. Finally, major athletic awards were issued in late May as well, including the NJSIAA Scholar Athlete Award to Hailey Maher ’15, and the Shore Conference “B Central” Sportsmanship Awards to Kristen Guyler ‘15 and Jacob Palecki ’15. A separate athletic convocation is being held June 3, 2015, to honor all spring season athletes as well as year-end athletic award recipients.
