Young Math Students Head to State Competition

Ranney fourth-, fifth- and sixth-graders' math skills have been sizzling all season!
Congratulations to fifth-graders Lucca Labanco (Highlands) and Devin Oster (Red Bank) who recently qualified for the state-level Math League competition. These students competed over their spring break on March 26 at Kent Place. One sixth-grade team, including Hubert Wang (Holmdel), Evan Woska (Marlboro), Sam Alston (Wall) and Morgan Rice (Fair Haven), came in first overall! Ranney is also proud to have a fourth-grader, Leanid Boika (Holmdel), and several sixth-graders heading to the next competition level!

Below is a list of all the students who have qualified for state-level competition during this Math League season, advised by Middle School Math Teacher Jane Guadagno. The state competition is expected to take place April 30, 2015.
