Alumni Office Announces 2014 Hall of Fame Inductees

The Alumni Office is happy to announce the 2014 Ranney School Hall of Fame Inductees. In conjunction with the Panther Athletic Hall of Fame Inductions, two new awards will be added this year to honor past students and teachers: The Distinguished Alumni Award and the Distinguished Faculty Award. “Whether you are part of the first graduating class of 1965 who marched with just 11 students to receive the school’s first diplomas, or you graduated this past June as Ranney’s 50th graduating class, all of our alums share a special bond and will always be a part of the Ranney community,” said Director of Alumni Relations Tom Moriau. “I am very excited to be able to recognize our outstanding graduates and their teachers for their contributions to Ranney School and beyond.”

“We are so delighted with the expansion of the Hall of Fame at Ranney School, which will now recognize outstanding achievements not only among our athletes but also among our distinguished alumni and current and former faculty and staff,” said Head of School Dr. John W. Griffith, who was instrumental in the creation of the awards. “The first group of inductees to the Alumni Hall of Fame includes outstanding achievements in a range of fields, from law, to broadcasting, to the military. We are proud of the way in which they have represented their alma mater and are pleased to honor them in our first class of distinguished alumni. We are equally proud of the outstanding educators who helped to build and shape Ranney School and influenced the lives of countless students and alumni. Among their ranks are some of our teachers, administrators and coaches.”

Inductions ceremonies for the Hall of Fame will take place on Saturday, October 18, 2014, at 6:00 p.m. at Ranney School in RSPA Panther Hall as part of the annual Fall Festival and Alumni Reunion. All alumni and their families are welcome to attend. Please RSVP here.
