MS Forensics Team Earns 11 Awards at 25th Annual RCDS Forensics Festival

Ranney’s Middle School Forensics team attended a 25th annual Forensics Festival at Rumson Country Day School in Rumson, New Jersey on Saturday, November 19. With 49 of its own team members competing at the annual event, this year’s Forensics Festival showcased the talents of more than 200 students from a total of nine schools throughout the area. 

Having received 13 outstanding finalist awards just last year, Ranney once again distinguished itself by claiming 11 of the 24 awards available to students competing in such categories as declamation, storytelling, and dramatic pairs this year. The Ranney Middle School Forensics team has won hundreds of awards during the past 16 years in categories of dramatic pairs, declamation, storytelling, humorous interpretation of literature, poetry, and dramatic interpretation of literature. “One wonderful blessing this holiday season is being part of such a remarkable community of educators and students,” said Head of School Lawrence S. Sykoff, Ed.D.

Coaches include teachers John Doyle, Allison Reddington, Lilly Torrente and Amelia Caverly, along with Middle School Forensics Coordinator Nancy Wade. Please join the Forensics team at a Fall Forensics Showcase on Friday, December 2 at 7:00 pm in RSPA Panther Hall, where many award winners and eighth grade members of the Forensics team will present their pieces.
