Ranney Students Attend "Never is Now" Summit

Ranney School students from the Diversity Club and the Jewish Community Club attended the 2025 Never Is Now Summit at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City.

ADL is the leading anti-hate organization in the world. Founded in 1913, its mission is “to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment to all.” Today, ADL continues to fight all forms of antisemitism and bias, using innovation and partnerships to drive impact.

A global leader in combating antisemitism, countering extremism and battling bigotry wherever and whenever it happens, ADL works to protect democracy and ensure a just and inclusive society for all.

"ADL’s Never Is Now conference provided our student group with extremely valuable insight on how to effectively combat antisemitism and hate,” said Zachary Messina ‘25.

“We heard from a College Student Panel of Jewish activist leaders on campuses across the country, where we learned the importance of staying level-headed and engaging in respectful dialogue, even when confronted with hate or aggression.”

One of the most impactful moments of the conference for me was learning about 'internalized antisemitism' — the subtle biases or stereotypes we may not even realize we’ve absorbed,” said Messina. “Whether Jewish or non-Jewish, we all walked away with a better understanding of how to identify these biases and how to foster open, productive conversations to fight antisemitism in our communities. We plan to bring these values back to Ranney by incorporating them into future Jewish Community Club meetings, activities, and community involvement initiatives."
