Dr. Dorota Sobieski, All-School Orchestra Director, announced eight Lower School students who were accepted into the CJMEA (Central Jersey Music Educators' Association) Elementary Honors Orchestra.
The following students earned the nomination by auditioning on February 10th. Each student prepared a solo and several scales and arpeggios demonstrating a solid grasp of foundational skills and string techniques.

The CJMEA Elementary Honors Orchestra Festival will take place on Saturday, April 26th at Piscataway High School. Ranney students will be playing in the Blue Orchestra along with many talented young string musicians representing Hunterdon, Monmouth, Mercer, Somerset, Middlesex and Union counties.
"This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to play in a large, full-instrumentation string orchestra, work with accomplished directors, and meet children from other schools with a shared interest and passion for music," said Sobieski.
