CJMEA Middle School Honors Band Accepted Students
Congratulations to Kate Ko '29 and Omar Zamel '30 on their acceptances to the 2025 Central Jersey Music Educators Middle School Honors Wind Symphony.
These two students earned a place in the 2025 CJMEA Wind Symphony by completing a successful in-school audition and being accepted by the Central Jersey Music Educators Association. Kate was accepted on percussion, and Omar will be a member of the clarinet section. This honors ensemble is open to motivated seventh and eighth graders who play woodwind, brass, and percussion instruments and complete the audition and selection process.
Omar and Kate will rehearse and perform with the 2025 CJMEA Wind Symphony at Monroe High School on Saturday, the 22nd, at 2 p.m. and will perform:
Anthem for Peace by Ed Huckby
and
Majestia by James Swearingen
"I'm so proud that Kate and Omar will represent Ranney Middle School in the 2025 CJMEA Middle School Wind Symphony," said All-School Band Director Mr. John Propper. "They both worked hard this year and should be recognized for their accomplishments. Their passion for music and ability to execute it will be fully displayed when they perform with the wind symphony on March 22nd. Congratulations!"
